![]() Well, I get so many pics of boards from their proud owners all over the world. Unfortunately, I've lost track of many of them, but have now vowed to give them a place to live on my site. If you have a board you'd like the world to drool over, send me a photo & whatever text/contact info you want to accompany it and I'll see about posting it here.
KYLE SOKOL'S SWAG Some of you may know him as Old School Kyle already. He rides for East Coast Skateboards & Team Goon and has a hell of an old school collection. Check these pix of our man ripping it like to youth of today just can't: BIG backside air (pic 1 & pic 2) and a KILLER invert (pic 1 & pic 2)! Below are some snapshots of his quiver...
LAD'S SWAG LAD is well-known on the collectors' circuit & he has scored near-impossible finds, especially in regards to Powell-Peralta pigs and Texas-era Zorlacs. MATT NEWELL'S SWAG Matt is a skater from the chilly New England area... those guys are hardcore! He has a real nice collection that runs the gamut from NOS, thrashed, old-school to very new-school... he also has all the Powell re-issues. Have a look, y'all...
CHRIS C'S SWAG Chris is part of the NOVA (Northern Virginia) posse & has a hell of a collection to boot! Feast your eyes on THESE, y'all... the blue Skull & Sword is BAD-ASS!!!
BUCKITHEAD'S SWAG All you old-schoolers better remember Dana Buck, right? Along with Jeff Newton, they were the main men of Zorlac back in the Texas glory years. Dana is still in the swing of things, skating & making boards under the Conspiracy brand. As you can imagine, he's amassed quite a collection, both of skateboards and of skate photos... here is a taste for you to go ape over!
G. SPENCER'S SWAG Spencer has a hell of an old school collection... check these examples & drool appropriately! My favorite is the green Zorlac Fishhead, personally, but I dig 'em all...
CARLOS ROJAS' SWAG Carlos has one of the most amazing "band board" collections out there. Of special note is the Black Flag deck... Carlos, if you ever wanna get rid of it, you have my email address! Feast your eyes, y'all!
WARREN COOK'S SWAG Warren has a healthy stash of skate swag that'll make you drool, especially the Lopes, which was one of his Holy Grail conquests. Congrats on scoring it, Warren!
FACTORY 13 DANNY'S SWAG Danny is the man behind Factory 13 Skateboards & he whips up quality custom planks. Check out his stuff and maybe you can score your new dream design! Also, feast your eyes on some of his old school collection.
MARCUS EVANS' SWAG Marcus has some killer stuff, some of which he has painstakingly restored. A lot of Zorlacs, which I have always been partial to! Check these boards out & congratulate the man for his patience... the results are worth the effort.
EUGENE FONG'S SWAG Eugene (Snipergene) Fong skated heavily from 74-78 and then picked it up again earlier this year (good man!). He has wasted no time in picking up some vintage collectables as well. You REAL old-schoolers will drool over his original Zephyr (pre-dates Z-flex)! Let the saliva flow, fellas... BILL HELENE'S SWAG Bill Helene obviously appreciates the artistry of Wes Humpston! His 2 boards span the gamut of Wes' career, 70's-present. The Muir has autographs that might be hard to see: Shogo Kubo, Wally Inouye, and a really faded Chris Strople. The new Shogo has Indy 166's and Spitfire Classics on 1/4" risers and doesn't look nearly as perfect now since he's "been riding the crap out of it." That's what it was made for! BOB BROWN'S ARTISTRY Bob Brown did the artwork on a whole lot of newer-school decks for companies such as ATM. Here is some of his handiwork...
